I posted this to the Moore Board a time ago but not to this one.
When I was abt 5 yrs old I remember my grandmother telling me that the last name of her parents was Moores not Moore.
I do an "association" type thing with memory and I remember
that I told myself it was like morse (code) but not spelled the same way. The family bible bears the notation behind the Moore name of [Mores} My ggrandfather was Madison Moore/Moores born Aug 1832 in Madison IN. Married Armilda Griffin 30 Sep 1864 in Madison Co., KY. In the 1880 Census he was in Jefferson, Boone, Indiana it does give his state of birth as IN and his parents both born in KY. He died 29 Jan 1911 in Thorntown, Lebanon, IN. He and Armelda share the same stone in Forest Hill Cem. Greencastle, IN. I have the lineage on Armilda but have been unable to find anything about Madison. Does anyone know anything about this person?
