I am searching for information about my Grandmother's family.
Her name is Edith Moorhouse b 26 Mar 1888 Eccleshill Yorkshire - d 1984, surnamed Smith at the time of her death. She is the daughter of Herbert (occ. Drayman/carrier) & Emma (Dau of John Motley) m 5 June 1886. Herbert's father is Edwin Moorhouse.
Edith has two brothers that I know of, Charles and Frederic, birthdates unknown. One of the brothers had a son named Kenneth, now dec.
Edith (probably unwed) had daughter Joan b 20 Jan 1926, m Harold Bagnall on 24 May 1947.
Joan & Harold migrated to Australia in 1956 with Penelope b 22 Sep 1949, and Louise b 3 Dec 1952. Fiona (myself) b Victoria Australia 9 Feb 1966.
Hope someone can shed some light on this dark subject. All information gratefully received.
