Thanks so much for your substantial efforts to pass along all this great info about my family. We very much appreciate your interest and assistance.

It seems Thomas and sons went directly to the America coal mining belt (Brownsville, Pennsylvania, bought a coal mine and mined and delivered it locally for quite some years. Do you know if coal mining is/was common near Grassington?

Obviously, you are a Moorhouse too - I trust not a close connection or you would have mentioned it.
