Hi Rosalie,I'm from the Moorhouse branch also related to the Archbishop James Moorhouse. The Archbishops father , James Moorhouse (born 18th Jan 1784) was the brother of my ancestor William Moorhouse who married Mary Sefton at Pontefract 27th Dec, 1773. William Septimus de Septimo Moorhouse (my great -grandfather and the Archbishop were Cousins). My Grandmother (Fannie May Moorhouse born Hay, New South Wales married Gilbert Manus Magill on 1st January, 1900). Many of the descendents of William Septimus de Septimo still live around Hay.I've traced back to 1773 but don't know who William 's parents are or where they are from. Campsall is quite close to Knottingley and Pontefract. Ferrybridge is also not far away.William moorhouse who married Anne Carter was involved in limestone quarries and shipping..He was also a Knottingley. There was a lot of shipping up and down the river at the time...including coal.If you have any links to any of these ,I may be able to narrow down the parents of William Moorhouse born around 1749 or 1750. Sue
