I am also researching the Moorhouse family and the tree that I have goes as far back as William Moorhouse and Mary Sefton. They married in November 1773 at Pontefract by license according to this tree but there is confusion over Mary's father. Written on it is ?daughter of William Sefton of Pontefract is so baptised 14/7/1751 at knottingley or ?daughter of a Robert Sefton according to a Moorhouse family tradition. Can anyone shed any light on this or help me to go even furthur back? Many thanks, Emily
