William Moorhouse (various spellings) was born in England between 1771-1780. He and his wife Martha were married in England and had two daughters, Hannah b 1804 and Emma b. 1808, before leaving for America.

William & Martha's daughter Hannah Moorhouse and William Manfull were married in Columbiana Co., OH 24 Feb 1828. Hannah and her children moved to Tama Co., OH by 1860.

William purchased 39 acres of land in Augusta Twp., Columbiana Co., OH from George & Mary Manfull in October 1829. The Manfulls were the parents-in-law of William & Martha's daughter Hannah (Moorhouse) Manfull.

This same land (39 acres) became a part of Carroll Co., OH when it was formed in 1833.

It seems that William Moorhouse remained in Augusta Twp., Carroll Co., OH until his death sometime between 1850-1860.

In 1860, his widow Martha and spinster daughter Emma Moorhouse were living with Edwin Manfull (relationship unknown) in Springdale Twp., Cedar Co., IA. Martha died there 04 Jun 1861 and is buried in Springdale Cemetery.

In 1870, the spinster Emma Moorhouse is still living with Edwin Manfull (and others) in Muscatine Co., IA.

In 1880, the spinster Emma Moorhouse is a boarder in the home of Jona. Maxon.

I hope someone finds this information helpful and will add to it as appropriate.
