Alan, thanks for your interest. I had this family tree passed over to me by husband's cousin - Read Mark E. Moorhouse's reply and I think this will give you the answers that I have been looking for - little knowing that a family name change had taken place. All the facts fit and it looks like Mark is a relation of my husband. Is your Moorhouse line connected in any way at all? This is a line that some members of the Moorhouse's
ended up in N.Z. there are quite a few of us here - most families have had lots of boys, including our own. Plus a very predomminant tendency to being red heads of varying shades!
