I don't know the connection to Charles Moots, but the connection to a John Moots of approximately that vintage is thru McFarlands. Off hand there was Tommy, John, Ida, Lizzie, Annie, and Frank McFarland (among others). Frank Amack, the youngest, was born 1901, Lizzie was a handful of years older. Ida married John Moots. Lizzie married I believe a Shoop. There was a Pearl, but I'm not remembering if she was Ida's sister or her daughter. John, McFarland as I recall, had twin daughters born prior to 1929. Hope that gives you at least a springboard for other leads.
