Looking for descendants of Col. Adam P. MOOTY (b. ca. 1816) married before 1857, Elizabeth Martin JOHNSON (dau. of Adna JOHNSON, b. ca. 1826), both born in Fairfield District, SC,, and lived in Meriwether County, GA in the 1860 Census and in West Point, Troup Co., GA. In the 1870 Census. He was a educator and eventually the superintendent of the Muskogee County, GA School System. They had William H. MOOTY (b. ca. 1857), Martin James or James Martin MOOTY (b. ca. January, 1860), R. L. MOOTY (b. ca. 1862), Minnie H. MOOTY (b. 17 October, 1865), Charles P. MOOTY (b. ca. 1866), Hugh M. MOOTY (b. ca. 1868), Edward Van MOOTY and possibly more, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking You, Jim Kirby
