Golleee, Jim, how things do come around years later! My mom was a MOOTY and in 1993 I was doing a lot of work on the MOOTY line of Atlanta, East Point, La Grange, etc. A James Ludwig relative in Miami sent me a copy of "A History of Public Education in Muscogee County and the City of Columbus, GA 1828-1976", by Katherine Hines Mahan, PhD." I've since given it to the Troup County Archives for safe keeping.

At the time someone told me A.P.'s name was Adam Percival, but I didn't believe her, now you have confirmed it. I've quite a bit on Adam and will send it to you by e-mail, GEDCOM, whatever if you drop me a line. These messages get so screwed up, format wise, I don't want to copy all of that information here.
