Moren is a Celtic patronym, "the descendant of Morain or Moghrain". These are old Irish names meaning either"sea warrior" or "tall man". The name is most numerous in Connacht in Ireland.I have traced relatives in the UK, Canada and the USA.I did not realise the name appeared in Scandinavia.
