I would like to find my cousins stemming from the marriage of Cordelia DAY GIBSON to either Milo Harvey GIBSON (died in Civil War) or Francis Marion MORFORD. Also any stemming from the marriage of Cordelia's parents - Cyrus DAY to Harriet (KASHOW ????). Am in contact with one DAY cousin (a direct descendent of one of Cordelia's brothers) but she also has no further information on the DAY's nor can she verify Harriet as being a KASHOW. Am praying that some of the other cousins might have found more information on "my brick wall" on the DAY line - have found Cordelia's family (father, mother and probably most of the siblings) but cannot go back further to her father's family nor her mother's family (Cyrus DAY married to Harriet KASHOW). The earliest trace I have of them is an 1840 Census from Marion Twnshp., Jennings Co., IN: anything further back is pure speculation on my part - a marriage record for Jennings Co., Indiana ----- DAY, Cyrus married to KASHOW, Harriet on 02 Jan 1833 (daughter of Daniel Kashow and Elizabeth Higgins) ----- but cannot verify this is "MY" Cyrus and Harriet and can go no further back although I have found a Daniel KASHALL married to a Elizabeth HIGGINS in NJ --- the spelling of KASHOW to KASHALL is holding me back and cannot get to NJ to verify the records. Have no idea on tracing Cyrus DAY - as always, there seems to have been more than one - plus - 3 of the 4 census readings I have (my own scanned copies) are disagreeing on where he was born - two say NJ (1850 & 1860) and one says NY (1870). At least Cyrus DAY and Harriet (KASHOW ????) DAY are in agreement as her census reading (line) says the same for the same years!??? I believe I have found the burial sites for Cyrus, Harriet and at least one of their children in Woodlawn Cemetery, Union, Monroe County, IA. Also know that Milo Harvey GIBSON (1st husband of Cordelia - died in the Civil War). Cordelia is buried with her 2nd husband Francis Marion MORFORD at Calvery Cemetery, Malvern, Mills Co., IA. The Gibson girls all grew up in the Malvern, Mills Co., IA area - they were raised by Cordelia DAY GIBSON and her 2nd husband Francis Marion MORFORD. *Cyrus DAY married to Harriet (KASHOW ????) -- my Great Great Great Grandparents. children: 8 James Black Day **Cordelia Day (married 1.
