Looking for info on men surnamed Morningstar (of course, the German equivalant of Morgenstern) who served with the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War. The regiment mustered in York in September 1861. They were:

1) Adam Morningstar, Co. G, also served in the 16th Pennsylvania Infantry, married Lucy A.
Hopper & Sue Stonsifer; children: Rufus P., Howard, Ida, Harry, Elmer, & Calvin, all with
second wife, reportedly from Shrewsbury, York County, although the company was formed in
Hanover

2) Henry Morningstar, Co. G, also served in the 16th Pennsylvania Infantry, born 1830, most
likely from the Hanover area

3) Michael Morningstar, Co. K, died 1909
