During the course of my searches for my own ancestors, I have come across a mention of only one Charles Morrell.
In a British census of 1881, this particular Charles Morrell, aged 32, a ship's carpenter in the Royal Navy aboard HMS Temeraire, and shown to be born somewhere in Co. Somerset.
