Searching for family information regarding Anne Marie Mortensen, b. April 20, 1868 in Horby Parish, Dronninglund County, Hjorring, Denmark. Her parents were Johannes Mortensen and Else Jensdatter. Anne had two siblings- Jens b. abt. 1862 and Morten b. abt. 1865. Don't know when Anne came to the United States (but would like to). She married Nels Christian Rasmussen on May 15, 1886. Since Anne was in Kankakee, IL at the time of her marriage, we think they were married there. They had four children: Viggo Christian, Eleanor, Nicolina and Holger Einer. Nels and Anne Marie finally settled in Van Wert, IA and both are buried in the Van Wert Cemetery. Any family information you could provide would be greatly welcomed!
