I have 2 uncles that were in World War I. Both of them are dead now. One was named John and the other Walter, they had a cousin Roy who also was in WWI. They enlisted from Ringle Wisconsin ( close to Wausau) and both have direct family still living in Wausau, Antigo and Aniwa. I know that John went overseas to England and Europe. Until I went to high school, I didn't know that our name was not pronounced Morterson. Good luck - Chuck.
