I'm a Singleton researcher and have always wondered where the middle name came from. The entry regarding his name by his mother, "I have named him John Singleton after your old man and his grandpapa. He claims a present from both for his name." was written to her husband's Alfred's brother John's wife. I have found no information about John Mosby's spouse or mother of John and Alfred. As you send out information regarding his lineage I would like to be copied PLEASE. Perhaps we can solve this mystery.
Thanks, Tom Land
