Hi Barbara,
We have a match! Dewitt Clinton Mosby is my 2nd Great Grandfather. Langston Booker Mosby is my Great Grandfather on my father's side. My father's mother was Ladye Sallie Mosby, daughter of Langston, she married Edward Vernon Stewart. Ladye Sallie had three sisters, Emma Mosby, Julia Mosby and Ann Mosby. Edward and Sallie had four children that I know of, Ladye Vernon Stewart, Edward Langston Stewart, Eugenia Mazeppa Stewart and Henry Grady Stewart, my father.

Alot more of us Stewart's live in California. I have been searching for my Mosby relative's for a long time now and reached a dead end. I am glad to know there are my Mosby's out there still alive. How successful have you been in tracing the Mosby clan? I could never make a connection to the Virginia Mosby's. I have a copy of the 1870 Fayette County Tennessee census and it indicates that Clinton was born in Virginia although I have Sommerville listed as his place of birth.

I would be interested in any info you may have on the Mosby's in your line. I will be glad to share any info that I have with you.

Thanks
Henry Stewart
