On the 1840 Adair Co., Ky census is a Nancy Mosby listed as head of household. She had
seven children -2 males under 5 - the twins John and James?; 1 male 5-10 - Elisha?; 1 female 5-10 - Margaret?; and three males
10-15. One is probably Jesse - the others ?
I believe that another was Cornelius as he is on the 1850 Adair Co. census living near the Lacys. Also on the 1850 census living with a Breeding family is a Wade - (spelled Waid on the census) According to his age at that time(22) he would have fit the 10-15 age group for being one of Nancy's sons. The Cornelius Moseby, Lacy, and Breeding families were neighbors.
Wade Mosby b. 1828 was my husband's ggrandfather.
Can onyone make the connection for me?
