I think we are referring to the same people. I have a Joseph Mosby, b. September 1779, in Boone Co. Ky., son of Daniel and Elizabeth Mosby.
Daniel Mosby was born in N.C. his family was from Va, he married his cousin, Elizabeth Mosby from Va. Their first child was born in Va. and then the family moved to Boone County, Ky. Their son Joseph b. 1779,married a Susanna Young b. Jan. 1791, born in S.C.they were married in Livingston County, Kentucky in 1812. Evidently Susanna Young family were living in Livingston Co. Ky.
I have noticed another posting referring to a Joseph Mosby who was a surveyor in Ky. during this same period. It would seem probable that Joseph Mosby while surveying in western Ky. found Susannah Young and married her there.
This is all the info I have, their names, date of birth and date of marriage and where they were married.
It is possible they lived their lives and raised their children in Livingston Co.Kentucky.
Joseph Mosby did have a sister and her name was Mary Ann. (nick name Polly) b. July 1781, she married Wm. H. Higgins.
Polly and William Higgins were married March 02, 1804 in Boone Co. Ky. and lived in Fayette Co. Ky. they had twelve children. They moved to Sangamon County, Illinois
arriving there Oct. 01, 1830.
