This is such a tangled mess. From the best I can figure out, Micajah married Peggy Jesse on Jan.16, 1817, producing William Mosbey, Jessee Mosbey & others, but have not found names. Evidently Peggy died & Micajah married Nancy Berry in Oct., 1825. I have a copy of both marriage bonds. Micajah died in 1836. Nancy is thenlisted on the 1840 Adair Co. census with 7 unnamed children. She marries Henry Lacy in 1844. Their first child, a son, WL Lacy, was born in 1845. Naoma in 1847 & Nancy in 1849. Henry Lacy dies in 1852. I have a copy of his will. He leaves his estate to Nancy. The land is hers to use for her natural life, then is is to be divided between her youngest children, William L., Naoma, Nancy & her unborn child. it says the balance of the estate is divided with Nancy getting 1/3 & 2/3rds divided between his older children. This will is witnessed by Wade Mosbey, Cornelius Mosbey & james Breeding. Cornelius married Susannah Lacy, Henry's daughter in 1847. I find them again in Terra Haute, Ind in 1864, where Cornelius joins the Union army. My g-grandfather is born soon after he leaves. Jessee Moseby also joins the union in Ind. He is killed. Cornelius Moseby applied for his pension in 1887 in Mo. I have a court document granting Dory Neil guardian of Margaret, Elisha, James & John Moseby in 1850. Don't know what that is about. Dory Neil is the brother of Wade Moseby's father-in-law, James Neil. Some of the children are found living in their aunt Mary Moseby Berry household in 1870. This is in Polaski Co., Mo. This is about all I have at the moment. My part of the family arrived in Arkansas sometime in the latter 1880's, although some of them stayed in Mo. My brother lives in Washington DC. His wife is going to the National Archives as soon as she returns from a trip to Quatar, where my brother is stationed at the moment. This will be in about 2-3 weeks. She is going to look up somethings for me. If you have anything you want looked up, let me know. My e-mail is Or give me a call. E-mAIL & i WILL SEND IT TO YOU.
