I guess our first plan of action would be to see where they were in 1860 census. All of the Moseby children would have been adults. It's possible she & the Lacy children were living with one of them. I will have Sunny check. I am having her check the Mo. pensioners for Cornelius. My mother, who is a Mosby, says her father said they had family still in or around Terra Haute. Some of my grandfathers brothers moved up around the Joplin Mo. & their families still live in the area today. Also, my g-grandfather, William Cornelius Mosby, married a girl from Coffeyville, Ks. so evidently they moved to the sw Mo. area at some point while he was still young. Cornelius Mosby & wife Susannah had a 2yr old daughter named Tabitha J. on the 1850 census. She would be 15yrs older than my g-grandfather. One other question I have is did Henry lacy have another daughter named Martha? As I said, Cornelius married Susannah Lacy in 1847. She was Henry's daughter. On the funneral home records for William Cornelius, it states his mother name as Martha Lacy from Ky. Guess it is possible her name was Martha Susannah! Anyway, I will have Sunny try to find out what happened to Nancy after she left Ky & before she moved in with daughter Naoma. If you have anymore questions, let me know. Seems like we are on the right path here.
