Alfred D. Mosby "Mount Joy" in Bedford Co Va

  of 1045

I found today an entry in the Bedford County, Virginia deed book 12 p 509:
(Paraphrasing)

Jan. 30, 1895
John Singleton Mosby convey to Virginia B. Mosby, in consideration of one dollar and love and affection, interest in 300 acres known as Mount Joy in Bedford County and a tract of land in Nelson County. Both tracts having been owned by Alfred D. Mosby in his lifetime.

Is this Virginia the dt of John's brother William H. Mosby?

I know William H. settled in Bedford Co. after the war, but I have never heard of his father having property here.
I assume this Alfred D. is their father and not William's son by the same name, since this also mentions the Nelson Co tract and John had an interest in the land.

I dont have their dates at hand--but I think all, or nearly all, of William's children died young.

Does anyone else know what happened to all the Mosbys that lived in Bedford Co after the war? the deed book is full of Mosbys
