Yes I did find out. It wasn't exactly what I thought at the time I wrote that message. My ancestress was Sarah Mosby who married Hugh French. Her parents were Micajah Mosby and Maudlin Bedford. His parents were Richard Mosby and Hannah Hands. He was the son of Edward Mosby and Sarah Woodson.
Oddly Maudlin Bedford, who was my father's sixth or seventh (can't remember) great grandmother, was the sister of Stephen Bedford, who was my mother's sixth or seventh great grandfather. I guess there was a lot of intermarrying back in those days in Virginia.
Not that many people it seems.
