Correction. I should have said that Richard Mosby was in Goochland County, VA in the 1730s (not the 1630s). Goochland County was formed from Henrico County, and the really old records (1600s-early/mid 1700s) for Henrico County are on file at the state library, not at the courthouse. I plan to go there soon to see if I can find the Davisons and Mosbys in the 1600s and early 1700s. The Richard Mosby in Goochland in the 1730s was probably a descendant of the Mosbys who landed here in the 1630s.
