Around 1910 or so, my great-grandparents had a baby boy in Cairo, IL. A black doctor delivered him, and his last name was Mosby. (Apparently in 1910 a black doctor was very rare so that's why I added that detail.)
My great-grandparents liked the doctor so much that they named the baby Mosby.
I've always thought Mosby was a beautiful name and if I ever have a son will probably use it. I've never been able to find out what it means, though.
