I HAVE to add here that many years after I met my birth father's 2 sons--who are 18+ years older than me--( my birth father died in 1972) I looked up John Singleton Mosby and saw a most remarkable resemblance with a little of my birth father but mainly with one of my half brothers- his son-- the one I'd met in 1993. (maybe it was just a coincidence)
It was very scary--down to the JSM long skinny fingers and hair style/ cut and facial features--even the physique. I wasn't even looking for resemblances at the time, either.
I was like, "That is my dad and half- brother, Stephen!"
LOL
