African American Kisers/Kizers, Mosleys and McKinneys of Marshall Co MS
Posted by: Claudia Ross (ID *****1756) Date: July 08, 2004 at 13:40:33

I am looking for the family of Robert (b. 1824) and Elizabell Mosley (b. 1836) Kiser of the Byhalia area. Robert and Elizabell (Isabell?) are believed to have had the following children: Joe Wooden (b. 1864), Meria (b. 1870), Robert (b. 1871) Illoth? (b. 1874), Cora (b. 1875), George (b. 1876) Johnnie (b. 1877) and Charlotte (b.1884).

Charlotte is my great grandmother, married to Arthur McKinney.

Oral family history indicates that Elizabell Mosley was a full blood Cherokee Indian, who was sold as slave in Ingram Mills to Dr. Sam Ingram, but this has not been substantiated. I have very knowledge of the Kisers and the Mosleys, any information would be helpful.

Thanks
Claudia
