Hi Anita,

I have not followed the descendants of Sybylla Moseby and John Winston. I have the birth date for Sybylla and the date for her marriage to John Winston. Their daughter Sybylla that you are tracing was a niece of my ancestor, Daniel Mosby. Daniel and Sybylla (sr.) were brother and sister. Their parents were Samuel Mosby and Jerusha Bowles Mosby. I have information back to Edd Mosby, born in England about 1599 and died in Charles City County in Virginia in 1663.

You mentioned the cemetery where Daniel and Elizabeth are buried. I have a picture of the gravestone from a Mosby family history book, and a description of the cemetery as ". . . on the farm of H. W. Baker, located on the Petersburg to Belleview Road." This is SR20, two and a half miles from Petersburg and 5 miles from Belleview, on a bluff overlooking the Ohio River. If you write to me at my email address I can send you a great deal of information about the earlier Mosby generations. Do let me know if this is a line you are trying to trace.

I look forward to hearing from you
Mary Ellen Filkins
