My name is James Allen Mosby and I live in Houston, TX. I am a descendant of the Clay County, Missouri Mosby's. My grandfather was Nicholas Mosby who died in 1941 (before I was born). His wife and my grandmother was Maude Elizabeth Brasfield Mosby (dec. about 1980). They had five children, 4 sons, Dewilton, Raymond, John Nicholas, and James Lee (my father), and 1 daughter, Lucille. At the time of his death in 1941, Nicholas was the Clay County Recorder of Deeds. He also lived in an apartment at the court house he and my grandmother were separated. He was afflicted with polio (apparently) and was a paraplegic. None of their children are still alive. I think that I am the only survivor of this branch of the family. If anyone has any more information, please let me know.
