Dear Roxann Shafer,
I'm a descendant of Wade Mosby.
I have extensive records of the Mosby line on my side of the (Mosby)family,if interested.
My family records are at my other residence(Charleston,S.C.)but can get them if particular info. is needed.
Wade Mosby was a the Virginia cavalry.
He joined the war effort while a student at Hampten-Sidney College and fought at Guilford Courthouse,N.C. and the Yorktown Campaign.
The family lived around Powhatan Co.,Va.
His brother Littleberry Mosby(elder,I think)was paymaster of the 2nd.Georgia Bn.(raised in Va.)and was captured by the British at Savannah.
I have a fair amount of birth/death information re.Mosby family members.
Please advise if any of this would be of help to you.
John A. Morrow
