Don't you believe this reference to Benjamin Moseley's wife was an error and that Bob Moseley's wife was the captive this item referred to? I cannot image any reason for Benjamin's wife to have been in the Alabama Indian country during that time, or at any other time. Confusing Bob with Benjamin would not be the only error of this kind in Woodward's book. The Reverend Elijah Moseley is once referred to as Elisha.

I have never heard that either Benjamin Moseley or his wife was in Alabama, and cannot imagine that they were.
