L. A. Moseley, a traveling man whose troubles began two weeks ago, when he was arrested in Baraboo and locked up for breaking up a dance at Viroqua by scattering cowitch among the party, and who was subsequently arrested on a half dozen charges at Viroqua, La Crosse, and Richland Center, was sentenced yesterday at La Crosse, to one year at Waupun for larceny. All of the former charges against Moseley were disproven, but he acquired so much notoriety in western Wisconsin as the result of his frequent arrests that he lost his position and was driven to steal in order to secure money to pay the expenses of his trials.
