Dear Trish,
I dont think Henry Jackson Moseley is likely to be anything too closely linked because he is obviously too old to be a son of Edwin Charles and Edwin Charles's brother, Francis Andrew, was born on 30.10.1814, so could not have sired a son who was already prominent in the 1850's. I suppose it is possible that Henry Jackson was from an earlier ancestor who has yet to be traced ( by me anyway ! )
Thanks anyway for all the info. It sounds like there are more Moseleys in Aus than the UK. Because Edwin Charles children seemed to have scattered to the four corners of the globe I am not sure if any of them returned to England except my great grandfather, Charles Herbert Moseley. Of that line only Michael Moseley still bears the name in England.
I am only really playing at this genealogy thing at the moment but will let you know if I find anything interesting.
Best wishes
William
