My husband's family came from England to the U.S. in the 1880's (?). They supposedly came into St. Louis, MO first and then moved to (Allston) Boston, MA. They summered in Southport, ME. The first to come over was John "Jack" Herbert Mosley II. He married Laura Wolf from Canada. They had a daughter, Beatrice in 1896 and John "Herbert" Mosley III in July 9,1899. "Herbert" then married Louise (?) in Maine, divorced and then married Ruth Classen. They then had one son, John "Jack" Herbert Mosley IV on April 18, 1947. Jack married Barbara Morse and had one son, my husband, John Herbert Mosley V on Sept. 6, 1973. Well, John married me (Julie Streeter) and we now have 2 boys. John "Jay" Herbert Mosley VI and Robert Streeter Mosley. I am at a complete dead end...Jack was young when his dad died so we have very little history to go on. I believe that the first Mosley to come over had siblings but not who or how many.
