I am also looking for a Mosley/Cherokee connection.I am told that my grandmother (Louella Mosley, b 1896 in Gonzalez, TX, d 1935) was the daughter of a Mosley that married a "Kiffer" who had been raised by the indians. My father believed her to be half Chreokee and has a few rememberences of her including stories about the trail of tears.I don't know if this has anything to do with your Mosley or not.I intend to check Gonzalez county records in the near future to see if I can find more information.I will post additional information if I find any.
