Chamah! researchers.

In 1608 during Capt John Smiths first exploration of Va he talked about a Wighcocomco savage by the name of "Mosco". We are trying to find out if by some chance this name survived thru time. Mosco was a guide for the exploration group. Smith stated that he thought Mosco was 1/2 French and Wichcocomoco (Indian) because of his heavy black beard. I believe Mosco may have been Spanish.

I'm in the process of checking names that are similiar to Mosco.

If anyone has information, please contact me at byrdman@theriver.com
