Hi Robbie, not an answer to your question I know, but my Great grandfather George Mosman was born in Lanarkshire 1799, had a twin brother Archibald, their fathers name was Hugh, I beleive the family may have been originally from Edinburgh, does this fit with any of your research. Meg
