Alphonse Boudreau and his family, in 1868, traveled by covered wagon to Dakota County, Nebraska. His family was one of a group of French-Canadians making a journey from Canada, to Kankakee, Illinois and finally to the unsettled land of northeast Nebraska.
The Alphonse Boudreau family was listed on the 1870 Census for Jackson Township, Dakota County, Illinois. However, sometime after that, the family left Dakota County, accept for Alphonse' son Charles. The Boudreau family moved to Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska.
We believe their oldest daughter Addie married Mr. Moseman from the Fremont area. On 8 May 1880, Addie lost her father; he was listed as 55 and a fur trapper; Alphonse Boudreau is located at Bethel Methodist C.; in Maple Township, Dodge County, Nebraska, which is located north and west of Fremont.
We have found through the descendants of Angeline, that Cecilia moved to Emerson, Dakota County, Nebraska and is buried there. However, we have not located her there. Since she was only 50 in 1880, she may have remarried.
We need help in finding Addie Moseman, she may be in or near Fremont, Nebraska. We would like to find out the first name of her husband.
