Need info on Moss family - Second Creek, Monroe County, WV

I am searching for information on a Moss family living in Second Creek, Monroe County, WV in the 1880, 1900, and 1910 Census. 1800 Census list Jacob as HH, wife-Jane, children-Arbell, Harvey, Andrew, Elizabeth,John, Catherine. In the 1900 Census Sarah J (Jane?) is listed as HH, widowed, children-Arbell & John W, granddaughter-Ada P. In the 1910 Census Arbel is HH, brother-John, daughter-Ada P. granddaughter - Mabel B.

The confusion lies in that in the 1900 Census...Ada P's father is listed as John W...and in the 1910 Census her mother is listed as Arabell There is 12 years difference in the ages of Arabell & John W. in the 1880 & 1900 Census...and 22 years difference in their ages in the 1910 Census.

Further information: Sarah J (Jane?) is listed as white in both the 1880 & 1900 Census with Jacob being listed as mulatto in 1880. Arabell,John & Ada P are listed as black in the 1900 Census and as mulatto in the 1910 Census.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. My grandmother was the Mabel B. listed in the 1910 census...but would never talk about her family...possibly because of the mixed race.
