Marshall, I'm from the Halifax line (Richard Moss) and I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Actually, my particular line got a 'double helping'--via the marriage of close cousins: that is to say the line of Richard's son, William--whose grandson, Robert, ended up marrying William's g-granddaughter, Rebecca F. Mize. I can tell you that my grandmother had what we would today probably call full-blown Alzheimer's--but at the time, some 40 years ago, they called it 'hardening of the arteries'. On the other hand, my father presented with symptoms from the dysarthria side of SCA-6. He was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Please feel free to contact me.
