Christian Mossman m. Katie Speiser 1869 Clinton Co., IL
Posted by: Linda Worstell (ID *****7059) Date: January 02, 2006 at 10:06:37
  of 293

Received from the V.A. the Civil War pension papers for Christian Mossman. Unfortunately, not my ancestor. Papers have lots of genealogy information including his place of birth in Germany.

Christian was born 1838 in Germany and was a baker. He enlisted in St. Louis in a MO unit.

Married Katie Speiser 1869 in Clinton Co., IL. Moved to St. Louis where he died in 1922. Katie d. 1942. Had children - Lizzie, Lena, Mary, Louisa, May (or Mary), Martha, Freddy and Flora.

If this is your ancestor and want the papers (quite extensive) - please let me know.
