William H. Mossman was born in Fayette County Pa. on 28 Jan 1789 the son of Francis Mossman and Sarah Brown. Sometime between 1831 and 1836 the family sold their land in West Salem, Mercer County, PA. and moved to Ohio. According to census records, The following children were born in Ohio; Geaorge W. 1837, William H. Jr. 1840, and Lovinia Jane 1845. Also two children are listed as being born in Virginia; Sarah Emeline 1841 and Mary Virginia 1843. The family moved to Nettle Creek, Grundy County in 1845 and then to Benton County Ia. I am looking for any information about their stay in Ohio and Virgina.
