Hi Ted:
This is not a name that I am researching but thought I'd give you some ideas about where to look
From the Records of Zion Lutheran Church in Lunenburg
Mossman,Henry Allan born 1847-04-01, christened 1847-08-11
Son of Daniel and Sarah
Witnesses - Daniel Hirtle and wife Mary Anne

From Records of Dutch Reformed Church Lunenburg:
Daniel Mossman married 1834-12-23 Sarah Hirtle

I just did a quick check-- you probably could find a lot more from this site which is an index of early Lunenburg Vital Statistics compiled by the late Don Shankle. Its available through the Nova Scotia Genweb site

http://www.rootsweb.com/~canns/
Just scroll down and pick Lunenburg County from the list of counties. That will take you to the Lunenburg county homepage. The index where the above information is "Birth, Marriage and Death Records" which you will see in a list of choices on the homepage.

If you are researching the "Foreign Protestants" an essential site to check out is
www.seawhy.com

You could spend a month there. Marriage records, land grant maps, land transactions, historical background, even an index to Lunenburg County wills. I checked and found the following

MOSSMAN Daniel [ Will Book 4 - page 311 abt 1867 ]

The site tells you how to order copies from the Probate office.

Happy Hunting
