Catherine Mossman, 1736, Antrim, Ireland

I am researching Catherine Mossman (b. abt 1736, d. aft. 1820). She married John Patterson b. 8 June 1736 in probably Antrim Co., Ireland and d. 6 Aug 1822 in Burke Co., GA. They immigrated on the ship Waddell and landed in probably Savannah, GA. I believe they then entered middle GA through the Queensburough, GA settlement. She and John had four children:

Mary -- 1756 - 1854 (who listed Antrim County, Ireland as her birthplace in the 1850 census)
John -- 1767 - 1816
Sarah -- 1775 - 1829
William -- 1776 - 1862

I am looking for Catherine's ancestors going back into Ireland and, according to family tradition, Scotland.

John was known as "Johnny Ban" or "White Johnny" because he had light hair. There is also a "Johnny Dhu" or "Black Johnny" who had dark hair. I believe them to be cousins. "Black Johnny" Patterson was b. 3 Oct 1734 and d. 4 Dec 1786. He had a daughter named Catherine who married William Little on 3 Jan 1775.

I am descended from both these lines. I am interested in any information about either Johnny Ban or Johnny Dhu.

For information on Catherine and Johnny Ban, see
