Any information on families descending from the John Gates family of England (marriage of John Gates and Caroline Snapes Gates who had about 14 children). I believe a Gates married a Mothershead and settled in Texas, probably early 1900's. May have been other children of John Gates/Caroline Snapes Gates who settled in TX. My grandmother was Lily Gates Edwards, one of the fourteen children. Other John Gates descendants are the Jude family.
