ALVIN MOTHERSHEAD's Will, 1735?
Posted by: Charlie Wright Date: June 12, 2000 at 08:11:57

My ancestor Wm MORTON who d 1748 Orange Co VA is said by researchers to have married both Ann MOTHERSHEAD, daughter of Alvin M., and Ann Batcheler, dau of Thomas B. I find evidence of Wm's marriage only to Ann Bacheller. I think the Mothershead connection may have been only an assumption by a very early Morton researcher who may have seen Alvin Mothershead's will. A more recent researcher said that Alvin named William and Ann Morton's children in his will, which was proved 3 June 1735, Will Book V, Richmond Co VA. I do not know if Alvin stated his relationship to those children in the will. Do any of you Mothershead researchers have Alvin's will? Thanks for any help.
