Here is some info I found, Solomon F. Motsinger died Jan. 27th,1899 , he was married twice and it appears that he did his best to populate Williamson County. His first wife was, Mary Simes Motsinger, we can't find any record of when she died. The children born from this union where, John J.--born 1856, William L.--born 1859, Mary Ann-- born 1861, and Matthew Jefferson-- born 1864.
Solomon's second wife was Mary A. Grant Motsinger-- born 1841. They had 10 children, Solomon Thomas-- born 1865, George Freeman-- born 1867(my great grandfather), Minie O.-- born 1869, Charles Jacob-- born 1871, Theodore McDowell-- born 1873, Ezra E.-- born 1874 Victoria F.-- born 1876, Olive E.--born 1878 Moody-- born 1879 and Lois May-- born 1881.
I have heard my grandfather talk about some of them, Solomon Thomas was killed in 1916 in a coal mine that was dug into the side of a creek that he and my ggpa where mining on Motsinger land. My grandpa was 15 at the time and was working at the mine. My great grandfather George died in 1954, I was born in 1960 so I never meet him.
I would like to get ahold of some of your pictures and would like to send you some of mine.
