Abraham Motsinger Robertson married Elizabeth Motsinger on December 31, 1857 in Henry County, Missouri. Elizabeth's parents are Jacob Motsinger(1799-1847) and Martha Idol(1795-after 1860). Jacob and Martha were married February 22,1817 in Stokes County, NC. The family lived in Davidson County, NC until about 1845, when they moved with other families to Missouri. Jacob and Martha had the following children:
1)Mary Emily(08/08/1819-11/09/1825)Mary is buried in Davidson County, NC.

2)Ruth(1820-?)Ruth married Owen Brandshaw(?-?) 07/24/1859 in Johnson County, Missouri.

3)Solomon(1824-?)married Phoeba Ellen(1836-?) 03/22/1863 in Johnson County, Missouri. I have Solomon with 5 children.

4)Alfred(08/27/1824-08/26/1871)married Mary Adaline Greer(1834-?) 02/10/1853 in Johnson County, Missouri. I have Alfred with 4 children.

5)Malinda(1828-?)married Isaac Brockman(1822-?) 12/29/1847 in Johnson County, Missouri. I have Malinda with 2 children.

6)Huldah(1831-?)married Henry F Holcom(?-?) 03/12/1852 in Johnson County, Missouri.

7)Adam(06/11/1832-12/06/1910)married Esther Belera Morrison(1834-?) 12/25/1853 in Johnson County, Missouri. Adam died in California.

10)Elizabeth(1838-01/08/1870)married Abraham Robertson

11)Angeline(1840-?)married John Hunt(1836-before 1860) 04/26/1857 in Henry County, Missouri.

12)Pleasant H(1846-?) Pleasant was born in Johnson County, Missouri.
Angeline's first husband, John Hunt, traveled with the Motsinger family to Missouri. Later, Angeline and John were married. However, John died a few months before the birth of his second child. Angeline later married Thomas E Robinson.

The Robinson, Robertson, Roberson surnames all originate from the same family; Robeson. I believe that David Robeson is the father of Abraham Motsinger Robertson. David was born about 1802 and is the son of William Robeson(1770-1842) and Urkey Beckham. This is the only family I have been able to find settled in the Rowan/Davidson County area. William had several children and I have located all grandchildren except for the children of David Robeson. Mind you, this is only a clue. No proof as of yet !!

I have more info on the Motsingers in Missouri and would like to know if you have more info on Abraham and Elizabeth's grandchildren in Kansas ??

Best Of Luck,
