Benjamin Moulton of Hampton and son, 1791
The following news item appears in the Worcester (Mass.) Magazine of June 23, 1791. I am unable to place these Moultons:
WINDHAM, June 11. Yesterday sennight, towards evening, as Mr. Benjamin Moulton, of Hampton, and his son, about eleven years of age, were driving a loaded team, the lad, by an unfortunate step, stumbled and fell directly forward of one of the wheels, which running over him, bruised him in so shocking a manner, that he died before the next morning. Mr. Moulton, was but a small distance behind the team--he saw his son fall, but could no stop the oxen soon enough to prevent the fatal accident.
